Machine Position Variable
Position of the viewer's machine of a given definition
Position of the viewer's own machine of a given kind, in the dimension they are standing in. This is what lets a single Page entry stand for a per-island thing. An entity_instance resolves its spawn position through a Var<Position>, so pointing that Var at this variable gives every island its own copy of the same NPC — one written entry, positioned by whatever the player built — instead of one entry per island, which nothing could author. The intended use is the stabilisation crystal: the machine is the fact of the matter (it is placed, it persists, it can be moved), and the NPC is only how that fact is shown. Falls back to [default] when the player has no such machine here. That is a real state, not an error: a dimension whose crystal has been removed simply has nowhere to show it.
